IAM/Semiconductor patent assets in hot demand: transactions in Q4 2023

Rambus Inc sold 106 semiconductor-related patents and patent applications to non-practicing entity K Mizra in 2023’s fourth quarter. The period also involved 69 semiconductor assets changing hands from Seiko Group Corp to IPValue Management Inc.

Those transactions were part of the reason that 20% of the 467 total Q4 patent deals involved semiconductor assets, according to the “AST Patent Deals Report: Market Trends & Insights Q4 2023”. US Patent and Trademark Office records show that the transactions involved 1,900 assets. There were 460 sellers and 439 buyers who transacted the patents and patent applications.
